Replacing the Seat Back Release Lever
« on: August 30, 2013, 20:14:57 »
Gentlemen,
The right hand side seat back release lever on my car was  broken when I purchased it and I am keen to replace it.
Is this a separate part and easily purchased or part of the entire seat mechanism and not available separately?

Does anyone who where I might acquire one and how complex it might be to fit?

Many thanks
Jeff

It is part of the backrest release mechanism with hinges.
Unfortunately this one is for the left side: eBay 251223382420
Do you have all the pieces? Perhps it can be welded together again.

Unfortunately no. It was broken when I purchased the car, and all I have left is a  2" long stump.
is it a part of the hinge rather than a separate item?

To quote a former president, it depends what "is" is.  ;)
Not part of the hinge itself but part of the tilt adjustment. It is still available from Mercedes for about 240 Euro.
