Headlight difference
« on: September 16, 2013, 05:00:43 »
All

I have a 71 Euro 280SL that was hit in the front. I'm now needing to buy headlights and I see two part numbers for the Euro lights:

1138200361 and 1138201661

I'm trying to understand the difference.

Can you help?

Not sure, but could it be that there are different part numbers for left and right?

Good luck

Thanks for responding, they're the same headlight for both sides.

Maybe it's a RHD/LHD issue then...?

Hi, Alabbasi,

113 820 1661 are the late halogen lights fitted to some 70/71 cars.
They have a flat glass lens and the reflectors are different from the normal euro lights.

The normal euro lights are 113 820 0461 (for LHD cars)

Do not know about 113 820 0361???

Confusing, does that mean that it's a Euro headlight, US headlight?
Price is somewhat lower then the others.

I think that I'm going to take a gamble and will report back if favorable.

Appears that 113 820 0361 is NLA , onwards on upwards.
