« on: October 15, 2013, 18:29:12 »
I am looking for suppliers for Glasso/Glasurit acrylic paint for my 1967 250SL - color code DB334 hellblau.  Anyone with some sources for me to contact? Thanks.

Did you call any paint suppliers anywhere in LA?

Glasurit is now a brand of BASF.  Go here: http://www.basfrefinish.com/ and you should be able to find some on-line retailers.
Alternatively, there is contact information there, and you can call and ask.

Lastly, just look up "Automotive Paint Supply" in the Los Angeles yellow pages, or similar. Find the one that sells BASF.

thanks but unfortunately in the wisdom of Los Angeles County, no supplier is permitted to carry acrylic auto paint.  I need a source outside of Los Angeles County.

perfect - thanks.  Am talking with them.  Apparently was a seldom used color by MBZ and it is taking time to research it at BASF but I am getting closer.  Appreciate the lead.
