ATE brake booster parts?
« on: November 04, 2013, 18:19:16 »
Does anyone know if internal parts for the ATE T51 brake booster are still available somewhere?
I believe that the diaphragm is fine but I would like to buy some rubber seals...

...or does anyone rebuild these boosters in Europe?

I can rebuild the boosters as long as it doesn't need the main diaphragms. I have tried to secure diaphragms from ATE but they say they are NLA.

HI, in reply to the brake booster repair, I have found out that the brake boosters on the 107 later sl`s are the same as the ones on our 113`s . I have several 107 SL`s an 81 380SL, and 85 380SL and a 77 450 SL and all the boosters fit our Pagodas. Should be able to get a used one from a wrecking yard as later SL`s are plentiful.

Petri,

Power Brake Exchange rebuilds these in California and I know they have the diaphrams. They are in the vendor list. Maybe they will sell the diaphrams?

I have contacted several vendors both in Europe and USA but none exept ATE themselves have ever bothered to reply and even then ATE said that they are not available.
So, if someone can establish a supply chain I'm all ears.

So, you have access to all the other parts possibly needed?
