MB Spare Parts Availability
« on: August 03, 2004, 10:11:57 »

I guess many of you know this interesting service from MB, but just in case:

In the main MB site, they offer the service of the "Spare Parts Availability". If you know the part number of the spare part you need, you will receive an automatic answer about its availability and current price in Germany (In Spain -for instance- prices are around 15% higher). It's necessary to enter a letter before the number ("A" in most cases): http://www.cms.daimlerchrysler.com/emb_classic/0,,0-195-78919-1-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-434-78641-0-0-0-0-0-0-1,00.html

This service is an excellent complement of the Spare Parts List book of the Pagoda (and the summarized version with current part numbers). Both books are available through the MB Classic Center. Here is the complete list of MB Classic Technical literature (.pdf): http://www.cms.daimlerchrysler.com/Projects/c2c/channel/files/14625_Technische_Literatur_04_2004.pdf

Hi Andy,

The "Costa Brava" is a nice place to live!  :)

You have very close one of the most wonderful gardens: "Jardins (gardens) of Santa Clotilde", between Lloret and Blanes... Have you been there?

There is a Becker and old radios specialist in Rubí (Barcelona). His name is Carmelo Calado, and phones are: 93 588 71 51, and 630 677 430

Auto Storica is one of the most professional classic car workshops in Barcelona (probably the most). I think they are going to move to a new 2000 sq. meters building. They are specialists in British classic cars (mainly Jaguar), but their mechanical chief (Vicenç Perez) knows the Mercedes cars very well... Auto Storica is the first and only Spanish stand in the Techno Classica Essen (during last two years)...

So, I think they will take care of your car!  :)

Hi Andy,

The doors of the W113 are made in aluminium, so maybe they need some special work...

There is a specialist in paintwork and body of MB cars in Cornellà del Terri (Girona). Pol. Ind. Pont-Xemmar: VIPUMA. But I'm afraid they have "overbooking" in the workshop... Anyway, you could try to phone them to: 972 594 244 / 972 594 640.

The vice-president of the Spanish Mercedes-Benz Club (Dick Pieper) is sometimes there, so they know very well these cars. Dick speaks Catalan, Spanish, German, and English.

Salutacions (= "Regards" in Catalan language  ;)  )
