Hepco fitted lugage
« on: December 18, 2013, 12:11:26 »
My early christmas presents to myself have landed... please dont ask what i paid for them in case my wife reads this thread !!
Sorry for the low quality pictures, i shall post better at the weekend, what i found amazing was the size of the Hepco sticker inside.
If you zoom in on the moir lining in the middle of the hinge area you can just about see it.
It is my sons thumbnail for comparison (i dont bite my nails), fabulous quality though, it is little wonder that they cannot be replicated correctly.
There is very slight staining on the lining which i shall have professionally cleaned but other than that they are in as new condition.

Just the two, large and the small , i fully intend to use them too, if, and when, the car restoration is "eventually" finished. It would be great to drive to one of the european events and use the cases as they were meant to be used.
I am still on the lookout for the black vanity case....PM  me if anyone has a spare !!!! must be about 4 in the world but worth a try ...LoL

Hey Stan
The thing that struck me about these cases is that they are as tough as old boots...you really could use them all the time.
The locks are quality, the construction sturdy, you almost could imagine them getting thrown around on an airport conveyor, that kind of thing.
It must be the MB Tex they are made of. They were designed to be chucked in the boot (trunk)
I had imagined ,from the few pictures available online, that they would be flimsy things but its not like that.
I dont, however, intend to do any of these things, but it is worth mentioning that the cases could take it .

Dave

(i wont be putting my mucky socks in them, dont think they could take that)
