Winshield wiper refills
« on: January 12, 2014, 02:07:42 »
Hi,
Does anyone know where I could procure wiper refills for my April 250SL? It has stainless steel blades and requires taller inserts than were used on later Pagodas.

Thanks,
Jim

Interesting.  Believe it or not I just ordered a pair for my 250SL #2442 from Parts Geek and they are due to arrive tomorrow.  I will let you know if they fit.

They told me it was FedEx which it is but I did not know that it was FedEx GROUND.  It has been traveling across the US from the West Coast and a camel would have been faster.  It is now in Pennsylvania but not at my door.  I will let you know as soon as I know.

Jim,

The FedEx tracking now has it in the local deivery depot and has indicated as many as 2 more days!  Unfortunately I leave at 7AM for 10 days at my home in Florida so you will have to wait until my return on SuperBowl Sunday for me to see if it is OK.

I had no luck with Miller's but was able to procure them through MB Classic's - very expensive ($45.00/set) but they fit my old SS bows properly. I am really curious to see how Parts Geek works out and thank you all for your comments.

Thanks,
 Jim

FYI my wiper blades from Parts Geek did NOT fit.  So there you go.  Thanks for your input.

Hi Guys: I have 6 Mercedes including 67 230SL, when I want to replace the wipers insert, I measure the width of the rubber insert and then I buy the same insert from AutoZone of Advanced Auto. I cut to match the insert's length and slip off the old ones and install the new ones. This is the cheapest and the easier way to maintain Mercedes.
