A bit early, but who is planning to go to Essen this year?

The date is March 26th till March 30th.

JonnyB and I and another friend of us, Willem, will go to Essen on Saturday March 29th. Perhaps we could meet up with some other members of the group.

I'm skiing in France from 21st till 28th of March (don't know exactly when I'll be back) and I have a Lionsclub Charternight on the 29th so I'm not sure if I can meet up with you Martijn and JonnyB. If JonnyB is still around on the Sunday 30th of March perhaps I can lure you for some dinner and drinks at my place again…

It will depend a bit on timing coming back from Stuttgart (we are planning to visit the MB museum). We will keep in touch! My travel back is on Tuesday late morning.

I will be there on Saturday March 29th all day long. I went 4 years ago but did not have the time to see everything. I missed a part of the flea market. Something I noticed, German sellers hate to see you trying to negotiate the prices.

All moot now, but Martijn and I were there on Saturday. OMG! What an event. We took about 45 minutes from the time we got to the Essen show to the time we actually got inside But well worth the effort. We tired ourselves out walking around, ogling cars, chatting with a few folks and doing some semi-serious people watching. Met one of the folks from Willingen, but saw not other Pagoda people.

Put this on your list of places to visit!

Will be showing photos and comments in the next issue of Pagoda Notes.

Rolf-Dieter: There are two: March/April and Winter, usually December, I think. I've been to both several times, including 2x as a vendor with a
Dutch customer. An amazing spectacle! If you are interested in going, I've got some promotional material here someplace. Jon

The event is certainly "mega" in many aspects... just strolling through all halls is a long walk indeed ;-)
120.000 m2 (1 292 000 sq ft) divided into 20 halls and 4 open air areas. As Martijn already posted, see info and pictures here:
