Hi everyone!
« on: February 20, 2014, 14:25:47 »
My name is Giuliano, i write from Italy and this is my '69 280SL Pagoda! It was a dream since my youth to own one and now i finally could buy one. It has an interesting story since it was originally sold in the U.S, then came to France and lately here in Italy where i found it near the home city of my son's roommate at the University. It is complete, but i still miss a few details to make it perfect and i hope that you'll help me to make it so!
Saluti,
Giuliano

Giuliano,

Welcome to the finest group of Pagoda lovers (or at least addicts :)). Your car looks very well sorted out. Do not forget to visit the Car Registry page and provide some more detail.
All the best and hope to see you (and Alberto off course) participating in one of European gatherings one day.

Hi Giuliano,

Welcome to the Group.  Make sure you have a good read around the Technical Manual, there is great information in there and if you have any questions first do a search to see if there are answers and if not feel free to ask questions as many members from around the world have a wealth of information and all problems can be solved.

When asking questions a photo will tell a thousand words so use of photos is always good.

Welcome

Garry

Hello Giuliano,

Welcome to the Pagoda SL Group. Your car is exactly like mine (same exterior and interior colour combination).

Happy and safe trails always!

Just a tip for the Italian-spec car owners around here: the little round blinker lights on the front fenders were from period Fiats, such as the little 'Rucksack' 500s now on their retro-revival. I sent Dr Benz a couple of pairs years ago and I sourced them new for maybe $5 each in Amsterdam at the time. I would think they are still widely available from vintage FIAT parts suppliers.
