Spring has Sprung
« on: March 16, 2014, 21:42:07 »
Spring is only a few days away here in the northern hemisphere but it has been almost like summer here in the foothill the last few days. We took our SL out for a jaunt today up the hill where the apple trees are starting to blossom and then to the town of Cameron Park which is a just about 5 miles from home. As the pictures show, it is a pretty unique place. Not often you get to drive down a taxi way. The car ran great as always never skipping a beat and it is hard for us to believe that we are coming up on 4500 miles since her rebirth:-) What a fun ride it has been!

Hello John
it's like in Europe. We have a very early spring. It is always nice to see your car when driving.

John,
very nice indeed and a very nice company. Is this something like an aviation village?

Hello Peter, We have seen the news here about the the warm weather and smog problems in Paris and Belgium. Hope the smog has not made it to your beautiful Mosel area of Germany.
Looking forward to our visit there and seeing you again this summer:-)

Thanks Stan, alway fun to be out in our Pagoda with my "navigator" by my side:-).  Cameron Park is a small town that has a small airstrip with homes built around with direct access to the runway. These homes have garages/hangers attached to park their aircraft. Google maps has good aerial views of the airpark as it is called. I believe there are at least 30 other communities here in California that have similar air parks.  http://livingwithyourplane.com/2008/07/08/airparks-info-california/
