Becker Grand Prix mono

I could really do with a wiring diagram on the internal of my radio from app. 1968.

I need it for my "radio mechanic"

There is something wrong with the automatic search function - it does not move when I press the long botton

Cheers from
Ulrik

This is a common problem with these older Beckers. The problem is most often traceable to the search function motor itself. I had my Grand Prix refurbished by Becker and they told me at the time that if the motor is bad they do not have any replacements to fix it.

Ulrik,
manually tune the radio that the pointer is all the way to the left as far as it will go and then push the automatic tuning bar.
Once a year this maneuver - provided to me by Ed Ebel at Becker Autosound - is necessary to "wake up" the automatic tuning bar on my Grand Prix. Perhaps you are lucky and it works for you too.

What a wonderful tip.  I'm going to try this on my collection of dead Grand Prix & Mexico radios...   Depending on the year, the automatic tuning works in different ways.  Sending the pointer all the way to one end flips a switch and causes the motor to turn the pointer towards the other direction.   I have some radios that will tune, but only in one direction, some that work in both, and some that just pop the fuse when you press the search bar...
