Europe or Bust.
« on: May 11, 2014, 22:34:23 »

A few weeks ago I posted a question on here about where I could travel to throughout Europe in order to raise money for breast cancer.  After a number of posts I was able to determine a great route.

I start my journey tomorrow evening and will use this thread to keep you all up to date on progress, I will also post some photos along the way on http://markbhai.blogspot.co.uk/p/about-car.html

Thanks to everyone who helped, I am really looking forward to the challenge and hopefully spot some members on the way.

Mark.

Travel safely Mark and above all enjoy the lazy German side roads (meaning avoid the Autobahn) :)

Happy trails ....

I hope that you have a safe trip and that your car, which looks superb, is reliable.

My wife and I will be down in the South of France this weekend and you will probably pass our road end (Tourrettes Sur Loup) as you climb up from the sea to begin the Route Napoleon. Sadly, we are flying back first thing Monday or you could have stopped for a coffee en route on Monday afternoon.

My Pagoda is booked for its Controle Technique (French MoT) late Friday afternoon. Never a pleasure!

Best Regards

Well all, first day complete and now sitting in Marbach an Necker relaxing.

You can read the blog here http://markbhai.blogspot.de/p/blog-page_13.html - I am sure the Dutch will have something to say  ;D

Thanks for the offer Andrew, a coffee would have been welcome and I am sure that your wife would have relished the prospect of two Pagoda geeks in the house.

Enjoy... http://markbhai.blogspot.co.uk/p/stuttgart-to-switzerland.html

I have some strange ambitions in life, but using a 1967 W113 as a F1 substitute?  How odd.  http://markbhai.blogspot.fr/p/blog-page_17.html

We came across a Classic Car show today, completely by accident in Sainte Martine in the South of France.  There were 2 x 280 SL (W113) there as well as a 190SL.  Do either of these below to forum members?

Read more about it here in todays update . . . http://markbhai.blogspot.fr/p/st-tropez.html

Todays update covers the Route Napoleon...if you have not done this in your Pagoda, then you should consider it.

The journey is complete, well over 2,000 miles and over 3,500km done, the last formal post to the blog is now online.  Today the car and I limped back to the boat at Rotterdam after she developed a fault which needs to be fixed in the morning.

http://markbhai.blogspot.co.uk/p/luxembourg-to-rotterdam.html

There will be a 'Technical Information' page added soon which is for the people of this forum specifically, it will include details of the route as I was logging speeds etc on my sat nav.  It will also show the fuel consumption for each stage.  I hope this helps others.

That wont be for a few days though...my wife deserves some attention now!
