Can labor charges be taxed when restoring a vehicle  on the painting of it?

In a complete restoration, is labor chargeable in all circumstances? i.e. painting, installing new batteries, tires etc?

It depends on each state as to how they charge there sales tax.

Some are labor and materials- others are just materials.

Then there is the  lucky few who have no sales tax. :D
