It's astonishing how lookers on eBay ask to reveal the reserve price, or bid ridiculously low numbers.
In my 15 years of selling on eBay (probably 650+ sales, 100% rating), I'd say that 99% of the buyers--those that bid and win--have never asked a question. They read the listing, know what they are buying, make a bid, pay for it, and are happy in the end. Maybe that is more like 99.5%.
Those who do ask for silly shipping details; ask to reduce a listing price, ask for the reserve amount, make lowball offers without bidding, almost never bid. There is an inverse relationship between the number of questions I get, and the likelihood of those asking the question to actually bid, much less win, an auction.
