Just a quick note to say hello to all the forum members,i have been a Mercedes Benz enthusiast for quite some time, and look forward in participating with you all on the various topics.
I currently own a 1967 250 SL Pagoda model (RHD) which has three years ago had a five year uncommercial restoration carried out on it.
I am concidering to post the car with some photos on the for sale section of this forum in the next few days as i have moved on and there are a few other projects i would like to concider. In anycase this forum link with the SL models would be a life line to carry on my passion for the SL models.
During the restoration I have made many contacts with various suppliers and specialists both here in the UK and Germany and would be happy to help any member.
Best Wishes
Ron

Ron,

It's a shame you're selling as there are quite a few members of this Group in the UK.  They would have liked another owner to participate in Pagoda events with.

Regarding your contacts, please visit our home page (http://www.sl113.org/home.asp) and inside the Navagation bar click on Databases.  In the short list of databases, there is Parts and Service Suppliers.  Click on that and add as many as you wish so we can all benefit in the future.

So, what are you moving on to?  Any interesting projects?

Thanks,

Rodd,
Thanks for your message,as I mentioned this forum is very new to me and I am navigating around the site to become informed on its resourses. And what resourses! I wish I had known about your database when I was restoring my car.I am a member of the M.B. UK club which has helped me find at that time various specialists etc.I went further afield to Germany to see the Annual Techno-classic show in Essen which is every year around 8-9 April and what a show that is.
Have you been? all the dealers and restoration specialists come out of the wood-work!On your current database is a company called Niemoller (Mannheim) who I visited to find some plastic gommets and
the rubber fishtailed water-outlet moulding which goes onto the metal pipe coming out of the firewall (which drains any water under the front air intake by the windscreen wipers).Finding these small detailed items was certainly a challenge!
I will put the specialists on your database for the members in the next few days.
Its quite ironic that Roger Edwards (Wembley) is also on the list as
he is the Highest Authourity on Pagado SL cars in the M.B. UK club here in England and he has valued my car for the purpose of selling.
The reason for selling is quite simple , I have had great pleasure in driving through southern England and France but I have spotted a great place to buy a second home in the South of France and the car would be a deposit or down payment.
Look forward to our next chat.
Regards
Ron
