Engine Oil Leak from Fuel Injector Pump

If you could get photos of the actual leak it would help.  Who / Where is your mechanic?  This is not something for the inexperienced with this sort of thing...

Had the car on the lift today.  Appears that a source of a possible leak is where the throttle linkage turns a shaft on the injection pump.  Two photos attached, one from above and one from below.  Drove the car home and didn't see any new drips.  May have a relationship to how hard the car is driven.  Last time I saw the drips was after running it up to 80 mph and 4,000 rpm on a California freeway for about 20 minutes.

Have you unscrewed the dipstick and checked how much oil is in the pump?
Looks like it may be overflowing.

Have you checked the oil level as Alfred suggests? That would easily answer one possibility.

The throttle shaft seal is a possibility as mine was leaking. Requires a teardown if I remember correctly. I notice the solenoid is quite oily underneath. Solenoids can leak in two spots; the gasket where it mounts AND in the back where the black wiring terminal cap is. If it is the gasket, that's easy to replace. You can check to see if the screws are tight on the mounting. If is the black cap leaking, that requires a new one which I believe are available.

Another spot that can leak in this area is the idle mixture knob. There is an O-ring on the inside of the knob.

Best thing to do is clean this whole area well and check it each time you drive. Shouldn't be too hard to find it.

Here's a recent photo of what I believe is the source of the leak at the throttle linkage. 

Looks like an o-ring is dislodged but my mechanic tells me that this is more like a spring loaded seal.  Right now, the leak is only a small drip that happens after I park the car, so it may be better to simply leave well enough alone and live with the leak unless it worsens.  Other advice would be appreciated.
