Battery Holder (Metal?)
« on: September 13, 2004, 05:06:32 »
I have a metal battery holder (holds battery on top via 2 long threaded rods with nuts).  It is a square piece that encircles the top of the battery.

Question: is this original and how many have left this in place?  I just removed mine whereas the metal holder is sooo close to the battery terminals and I have come close to shocking myself a couple of times.

Any comments on this?  Seems like an odd design....  What else are you using to hold down your battery?

I have the same thing. Just keep it away from the positive terminal. Mine is about ½ inch larger than the battery top. I also have seen plastic aftermarket holders, but they are not original

I have the metal one in place. No problems.
