Hi Larry

Add the word "Barn find" to any listing guarantees it will sell for double what it's worth.
It hasn't got a good part on it and has never been anywhere near a barn, it needs everything and will probably sell for over $50,000.
Shabby chics another good word e bay sellers use to push junk that that should of gone to the tip.
Vintage is another .
Resto projects like this are way overpriced when you consider the cost of carrying out a full restoration today.
They should give them away to guys like us ....just saying.
I wonder what it will go for in the end?
I'm putting it on my watch list.

So what is SL 30 on the intake plenum?  Maybe unmolested, but certainly not virgin.  Seriously?

It looks reasonably rust free and complete. Puts the potential restorer quite ahead of the game.

Looks like a really good candidate.  I think the price is too high.

I've never understood how eBay works, I guess. Does it mean there is already someone who is tapping their toes, hoping they won't get outbid, so they can pay $32k for this? (As of this morning, I s'pose.)

9 people bidding and how many watching with 3 days still to go !
Lets do a poll for how much we think it will go for !
I say $45000....
I dont know what others see but i see inner wings covered in black underseal, sure sign they are shot.
rear valence and trunk floor looks like you could poke a screwdriver through it.

Unfortunately ebay works quite poorly in some cases.   If you have a good buyer and an honest seller it works fine.  If you have a seller who lies and the person buys the car and has it shipped, you have a very unhappy buyer.  If you have a good seller and bad buyers the buyer will try to nickle and dime the price down or not complete the transaction.  That becomes an inconvenience to the seller who then has to either take less or re-list.

I think for someone who wants to do a complete restoration finding what looks like a barn find unmolested car is better than finding a semi-restored decent rust free car (like mine).

Just figured out the "SL 30" on the valve cover.  It is actually a Mercedes "DIESEL" letter set with the D and E upside down and backwards...Clever.

See if it gets relisted after the sale due to a non paying bidder.  It happens all the time...
