Here is a picture of a sign that I made about my car. It generated a lot of good buzz at the recent Pinehurst event, and it helped me to not have to tell my little story over and over.
There are places that specialize in making signs for car shows, but they are expensive. I did mine up in PowerPoint, saved it as a PDF, and emailed it to the local Fedex/Kinko's. About two hours later it was ready to pick up. It's laminated on both sides and is easy to carry around laid flat in the trunk. It cost about $60.
Pinehurst, like most shows, had a rule that you had to use their signage, but no one seemed to care that I propped mine up in the trunk.
I still have some PowerPoint skills left from my days as a sales consultant and am happy to help others who might want a sign and need some assistance.
And shoot me now before the Mercedes Benz lawyers come after me for using The Star.
Cheers,
CT
