what are the top restoration outfits in Europe?
« on: May 10, 2015, 18:11:16 »
I looked at a variety of places in Germany and came across:

Rosier.de

sl-classics.com

Anyone else worth looking at?

I met a gentleman in London running a company called spider veloce who had a few pagoda's restored in Poland.

I saw a few pictures (did not see in the flesh) and the result was pretty amazing. He argued that it was the best place (value for money) to get a ground up restoration done for a pagoda. Apparently, a budget starting with a rolling chassis and engine is in the region of £50-60k in Poland. Would be at least double in the uk. Any views on this?

Kienle are probably the best. Maybe the best anywhere. They're almost certainly the most expensive... ::)

My company did some CAD drawings specifically for fitting a Pagoda to a rotisserie for www.colinferns.com

If his work is anything like the rotisserie that my designs were done for then he does the best work.

Another strong contender for this title is this one: http://www.pagoden-center.de/

Erics,
I think that I know which shops you are referring to. Just as a side remark, the cost for that level of restoration is always depending on who's asking. last year I would say that your budget is crafted towards Western European clients, but locally the process would be 30-40% less. This year I am not sure anymore...
