Putting together a 1970 280SL that someone else took apart.
He was taking apart a 280SE at the same time.
Here is a photo of 10 parts.
Can someone or all of you be so kind as to tell me where they go.

Number 4 could be the retaining pins for the brake pads (brake caliper)....

The rest looks like shrapnel to me..... Hopefully the experts may have some ideas.

OK, I`ll start with the couple that look familiar:

7 - heater cable from the dash control to the fresh air flap.
8 - heater valve control lever (possibly)
2 - look like brackets to hold the radio in.
3 - could be the regulator off the previous owners b-b-q gas bottle;D

I hope I get at least one correct.

cheers

Number 7 is a tube.
Number 3 --I have tow of these I bet they are off welding and cutting torch tanks.
Number 1 (left side is a dashpot damper rather stiff) Do not know where it goes.

I think the smaller pieces are to hard to see.
Let me try a close up

Dear drawho. I merged your two posts, and deleted the duplicate. Posting the same message in two different sections is called "cross-posting". That's a no-no in forum land.

1.) is a very small shock absorber or dashpot
7) is a very small hole with fittings.
5) see close up attached

Hi,

1 is an engine damper found on some w108/w111/"w112 cars, not for your pagoda
7 could be early style oil pressure line?
6 upper brackets for headlight chrome trim on w108/w111/w112 thus not for a pagoda
I believe 2 and 4 have been correctly identified

Thanks everyone,
We have 5,8,9, and 10 left
5) the part sticking out is threaded
9) these look to attach with screw to hold the edge of something.
10) I found 9 of these-- see closeup of 8,9,10

5 looks like a clip that holds the end of the garnish trim on top of the doors
