A peculiar issue I have at hand: The old Ontario ownership (pre 1990s) for older Mercedes was registered under Make as MERC.
As you may know, that code is reserved for Mercury, while MERZ is used for Mercedes. All the other information is correct on the ownership: VIN, model, body type, etc.
While inquiring with MTO re: correction in the ownership, MTO's policy is for the owner to obtain an Antique Club's or Manufacturer's letter stating that the vehicle is indeed, a Benz.
No appraisal, statement of work/invoice from a dealership or insurance document would serve the purpose.
Question: has anyone in Ontario had similar problem and how was it resolved?
