part number for rubber bung on the bulkhead please.
« on: June 18, 2015, 17:01:42 »
I am trying to order a rubber bung/plug for my 1966 230.  Mercedes sent me the wrong one 110 987 06 44.    The hole is around 45mm across. Its on the bulkhead near the top and covers the heater valve.

anyone know the correct part number please?  It will be stamped on the bottom of the bung.  Attaching a photo (if it works!)

If you purchase the part from MB you will not be happy with what they supply, as NAJ once said the ones you get from MB look like they were used to bung the ends of cardboard tubes.
The ones supplied by SLS look more the part.

It could be that the US classic centre has a large stock of this item.
If you purchase the part in the UK you will receive the cardboard tube ends.

What about the part number for the Rubber Bung in the top of the Brake Booster bracket? (I think it is only on RHD's.)

Seems to be something that my mechanics keep losing on me. >:(
