Gewindekugelbolzen
« on: June 30, 2015, 20:17:43 »
I need new ball pins (or what the correct name is) for my late 280 sl engine but can't find the right ones here in Europe. SLS do have the ones for 230 and 250, but the bottom diameter is 17.8 mm and the ones I need have 22mm diameter.
Anyone who knows where I could find them, preferably in Germany.
Many thanks,
Anders

Do you have a picture or description of where this part is located?

Anders, I would check with Colin Ferns in London, UK

Here is his web site, shoot him an e-mail, I bet he sources most of his parts in Germany.

Many thanks for all replies. I have managed to place an order for what I hope are the right bolts, with delivery in 2-3 weeks. But  they are expensive ....! And I need 12 ..... :(

Here, they're referred to as "ball studs."  The PN for a 280 is 130 050 05 74.  They are available from various online Mercedes sources for $30 each.

Thanks, that's a lot cheaper than what I was asked to pay. Any chance you could help me with a link to the online MB sources?

You can sort by any column heading, so you can easily find the German suppliers you were looking for.  Also, there are several in The Netherlands and UK.
