I have completed the process of unsticking my heater valve following the terrific instructions in our Tech manual.
However, even though the valve is now freely moving I still have a problem.
The square top (with the hole in the middle for the screw:
http://www.sl113.org/wiki/Electrical/HeaterControlValve) of my brass heater valve has had the
4 corners worn down (I think from the valve being previously stuck and attempts to force the valve to move) so that there is no longer a snug fit with the control arm that turns the valve.
As a result as I slide the cabin lever the control arm moves quite a bit BEFORE it starts to move the valve and consequently I can't get to a full close/full open position.
The only option I can think of is to replace the brass valve completely with OEM or repro but I have not seen them for sale anywhere (I can't build-up the square edges of the top of the valve)
Does anyone know where to buy them OR were the same valves used on other models (e.g. W111)??
thanks
