Injection Pump Control Rack Cover Cap
« on: August 13, 2015, 10:03:28 »
Does anyone have a source for the rubber cap that goes on the front of the injection pump to cover the control rack? Item number 15 on the photo, Mercedes part number A0009973335. Mercedes Classic Center spare  parts list it as NLA.

Thanks,

Hello Bob,

Unfortunately these get  hard and brittle most used ones are not usable. However if I can find a good used one I will let you know.

Bob,

I bought one a few years back and now glad I did. That was the correct part number. They were some kind of horribly high priced item back then, but I figured it would be NLA one day. That being said and that they were still around new not too long ago, I am sure some people must have them. You could check with Pacific Fuel Injection, H&R Fuel Injection or Fairchild Fuel injection and maybe they have a spare.

As an alternative, you migt be able to use a CAPLUG  https://www.caplugs.com/catalog/caps.html  and find one that fits. All it does is cover the end for access to the rack.
