At a car show I spotted a 113 (250 SL) with a code number not in the Technical Manual "decoder ring" section.
On line 3, after the first 8 digits of the VIN, appears a single digit which is the market country code (ex., U.S. is 7). The car in question had a "0" stamped in this location. "0" is not listed. What is it?
There was also a "5" on the line above, indicating hardtop attached, no soft top, but a soft top well.
