Fresh Air Scuttle Screws - 1971 280SL
« on: November 19, 2015, 00:18:10 »
The two small screws (located beside the base of the wipers) that attach the scuttle cover are missing.  To be correct what are they supposed to look like?  Are they plated yellow cad or clear zinc?

Many thanks
John

From the M-B parts manual: part number 007981 003225, 2 needed
Translation: Sheet metal screw, DIN 3,5 X 9.5, high polish galvanized iridescent passivation
Alternate translation: Phillips, pan head sheet metal screw, #6 X 3/8" (stainless steel looks good)
