I'm in the process of finishing a restoration on a 1968 280 SL What are the correct colors and paint for the engine block, valve cover, intake, etc. Any assistance regarding this matter is greatly appreciated

The block is black, the intake and valve cover are natural (slightly matte, NOT shiny) aluminum. Use the main search function (the one in the same line as "Home, Help, etc..." there is quite a trove of information about the proper finishes, clamps, and such. Also many pictures.

Check out Pagoda Notes, Vol 9 no 2 (available to full members from the technical manual pages - scroll down to the premium content links) for detailed information on how the main search function works

Nolawrench,
Where is your shop?  I also live in New Orleans and own a '69 Pagoda.
