new fuel injectors on my trip to queensland
« on: January 22, 2016, 20:56:55 »
hi guys just wanted to share my experience with you all, my 230 sl was running quite rich and after changing everything associated with the fuel system barr the injectors I finnaly took the plunge and purchased six new injectors just before my trip from Sydney to queensland last week  which is a 1800klm round trip. all I can say is why didn't I do it earlier  it made a huge difference in fuel economy, power ,  and just the smoothness  overall running of my 230sl .just to give you a example I struggled to get to 80mph prior to changinging the injectors , now it was no problem at all to go even faster .  my next trip will be from Sydney to Adelaide again next week going directly to Adelaide across the hay plains which can get extremely hot out there so will be looking forward to another long enjoyable drive cheers all.

I purchased mine from MB Classics in Germany: http://www.mbclassics.de/index.php?a=4211&lang=eng
They were the most reasonably priced I could find in Europe, from a reliable supplier.

They seem to be cheaper in the US: http://www.everythingbenz.com/z/part/0000781123-mercedes-fuel-injector
