1971 280SL at Kiawah Motoring Retreat

This car was in the Preservation Class.  It not only took best in class, but also won the Automotive Preservation Society special award.  Extremely nice 44K one family car.  No undercoat.  Factory hose clamps, original firewall pad, spot welds, fender notches, original carpets.  Tex interior held up very well.  Hard to fault except for the black wiper blades and a couple of engine details.  Oddly, it had a polished intake manifold and cold start valve, but the rest of the engine metal was normal.
