Nice car. It appears to have been restored well. I remember nice Pagodas hovering in the $15-$20K range for years. Looks like those days are long gone.

 Finally...
Seems like they are coming of age .. I remember them just going sideways for years on end, but things seem to be now changing by the day..and there are less out there now.

I spend a lot of my free time in the Heritage motor books and walking around looking at the stock of exotic and the Le'mans race porsche.Yesterday when I saw the burgandy 280SL the hard top was off and I asked my friend in the book store if I could have a peek. He told me the history of the car and that it belonged to a man who had a steel mill that was not doing well and he was selling off his cars. I understand that it has a 4.5 rear axle set up which lowers the final drive and allows you to hear your self over the constant wine of the engine. the hardtop was in a cart and in mint condition no heated rear window defroster.
A bit price heavy for me but I am sure it will fine a home among some well to do Hollywood producer or writer.

I think we're talking about the same car, Bob. On their site, it's listed for $56K.

Here's one that went for $57,240 at Barrett-Jackson. Keep in mind the buyer paid a premium on top of the final bid as this was an auction:

And here's one that went for $59.4K, again at auction:
