Nardi Wheel

I'm in the market to buy Nardi wheel. Just need to make sure I'm getting the right one for our cars.
390 mm, with Satin spokes ( not polished) .
I need advise on vendor for the Wheel Hub adopter, I have 280 1069 ( part #)

Even the 390 obscures the outer edges of your main dials. For me, I lose the speedo from about 50 - 70mph, and the rev counter from "time to change up"

I bought what i thought was the right hub but it was too long at the hub end. It fitted but the outer "canister" of the hub protruded too far down the steering column, so I ended up taking about 10mm off. Well, my local machine shop did.
I put the original back on last year when my wife took the car on a rally where knowing your speed is quite important. I love the Nardi (particularly to look at)  but I think I prefer the original to drive with

Another thing to keep in mind is the hub of the stock steering wheel in our cars is actually the collapsible section of the steering column.  which could come in quite handy in a frontal crash.

Beautiful. I like the horn button. Its different than the usual black plastic one ( which I think looks cheep),  where did you get it ?

It measures 390mm.  It sits in its box waiting for the day Gernold is done with the restoration.

I add a 360 Nardi and needed to add 1.5 inches spaces to clean the turn signal.

Hi Naj,

I would if I could.  The wheel is not in my possession, it's in Maine at SL Tech still in its box.  The wheel is a common Nardi 390mm with a custom horn button.  Gernold looked it over and didn't see any fit problems with it.

Hi Rkishi. Interested to know if you have installed your Nardi wheel. While I prefer driving with the smaller, wood rimmed aluminium wheel, I do find it a nuisance not being able to read the speedo and tachometer readily. This is a real problem in Sydney, where speed limits are subject to vigorous enforcement. I always found the original wheel on my old 230SL uncomfortably large.

Yes, Pip,

Your steering wheel is more handy during driving, it's too small for reading the instruments properly.
Personally I think the truth is somewhere in between, perhaps the 390 wheel

Yes I have and I love it, took me a while to find the right Hub,  that is collapsible for safety reason and long enough not to have the turn signal touches the wheel. The steering wheel block the speedometer only at 60 m/h, which is the max speed on most roads in the US, so if I cant see the indicator that means I'm going too fast. Simple
