diff - axle swap
« on: June 04, 2016, 10:21:41 »
Hi guys, sorry if this has been gone over before. Is it posilble to swap  an axle from a 107 (82, 380slc) in to a late 70, 280, or just the diff unit (3.27-1) in to the 280 casing. Regards, Chris.

No the 107 axle is a completely different animal. There are vendors that make a new 3.27 ring and pinion to install but should be installed by someone with experience. There are a lot of setup measurements and special tools needed. You could also swap an entire axle out of a 280 sedan.
