Anyone checked this site out?
« on: June 25, 2016, 19:21:31 »
Question .... Why they have so many Pagodas for sale all over the US and at prices below $20K US some at $25K US ?

I came across it and cannot believe it ...

Are they total basket cases? Do they need a lot of work? Or is it a scam site?

Also note free shipping LOL

Has anyone ever contacted them or seen some of the cars?

Here ----> http://www.2040-cars.com/Mercedes-Benz/SL-Class/

Dieter

Edit ... The first 4 pages show some very low priced Pagoda's later pages show higher pricing.

Rolf, That site is a bunch of hogwash. The adds are either years and years old or scammers try and get a $1000 deposit and disappear. Notice how there are no phone numbers on any of the adds. And the e-mail addresses are shady at best. There may be a few legit adds on there but not many. There is also history of their website being spoofed. The IP location also bounces around between the US, UK, an Russia! Just treat it as a worldwide Craigslist for cars. Anybody can list whatever they want. Real, Fake, or Scam.

Agree with Tyler.

Here's a clear example of why this is a scam.

Here's an ad on our forum from a member who sold his car:    http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=24008.0

Here's the same car on this "hogwash" site with a much much lower price:  http://www.2040-cars.com/Mercedes-Benz/SL-Class/1967-mercedes-benz-sl-class-250sl-1229262/

The Car in the 2040 link above mysteriously shed 100k miles as well.  :o

(maybe I'm too young to use the term "hogwash" but my Grandpa used it when us kids were around so.. You should have heard his colorful vocabulary when he thought he was by himself)
