My trunk floor has rust holes and I am looking for a shop that can handle the trunk floor panel replacement in my 1970 280SL. I have the three main panels from Mercedes. The job would require dropping the gas tank and probably removing the bumper and tail lights, although I'm not certain on that.

I have contacted a few local shops and no one seems interested in tackling the job.

I'm just west of Boston, but could go up to Southern NH or down to RI.

David Cusano of Boyles Body Works in Arlington can do the job (he used to work at Hatch & Sons in Wayland) but am not sure he would have the time/interest doing it.  Anyway, it would be worth asking.

I have met with Dave. As you say, it is something he can do, but he has other priorities now. Couldn't touch it before October or November.
