Under dash panels
«

Has anyone replaced the foam backing on their under dash panels? My panels are in perfect condition but the foam backing has dried out and is disintegrating. I see that Authentic Classic sells repro panels but I would like to keep the originals. Any tips?
Thanks

I'm pretty sure that it would be an easy DIY project with some similar foam (or perhaps even a bit heavier like the thin sleeping pads used when camping) cut to size and glued onto the pieces with a decent spray adhesive like 3M :-)

Authentic Classics also sells just the foam in bulk size. He has 2 thicknesses. Genune MB part. Use spray adhesive to attach then trim with exacto knife.

Thanks for the info. I finally did check the Technical Manual and there were some previous posts regarding the under dash panels. Aside from the foam, my panels are perfect so I will check out the foam from Authentic Classics. Thanks again.
