For those who are interested:
I purchased from the MB owners club in the uk a reproduction manual for 230's 1963 - 1968.
It's abit like a Haynes manual.
Handy for day to day stuff I think and probably worth a look

Published by Veloce Press and is a reproduction of a book published a while ago

THis manual is for:
230 1965 - 1967
230S 1965 - 1968
230SL 1963-1967

It is an "Autobooks Owners Workshop Manual" republished by VelocePress in cooperation with Brookland Books Ltd

I have not been on this so maybe other relevant manuals are available.
However the manual I have covers the 230 saloons (sedans) and the SL I am not sure if it would be relevant for the 250 and 280 for example it only discusses rear DRUM brakes
