W113 and W114 engine differences
« on: November 10, 2016, 20:10:59 »
Hi,

I have a W113 230SL engine block and looking for a cylinder head with camshaft assembly etc.

I was wondering would a W114 cylinder head fit a W113?

None of the W114 cars had an injection pump. About the only car you might possibly interchange a head with would be a 250SE or 250SL.

Yes, the 250/SE and 250/SL heads will work and are a slight upgrade since the valves are bigger! Even the same head gasket is used in the 230 and 250 injected engines.

I have a complete 230SL head that is somewhat warped and may need straightening.
Send a PM for detail, please.
