This is totally off topic, Pinder...but I have followed the same regimen for nearly 15 years, and would like to say it works.

I fill up with premium (my car does not like anything but 93 octane)j before I leave, using a bottle of Chevron/Techron fuel injection cleaner.

After driving 150 miles, I stop at a self serve car wash, and wash the car and dry it. I put in a bottle of Sta-Bil, and fill the tank again with premium.

It's just five more miles to the storage. I let it sit overnight, and between the final five miles and overnight, the car is completely dry. I cover it.

It sits like that until spring. However, if I'm up there in the winter and the roads are dry and clear of snow (usually once!) I do take it out for a short drive.

I do not use a battery tender. I don't like the idea of anything plugged in that's 150 miles away from me. I don't disconnect anything. If I remember I'll overinflate the tires.

I place cardboard underneath the car because after sitting for months seals shrink and several leaks appear. They disappear in spring once the car starts getting used.

This program has worked well. Car has always started fairly immediately, even after sitting for 4-6 months.
