Shipping cost from SLS
« on: November 16, 2016, 15:40:31 »
Hello all,  Shipping for the 6 panel floor repair parts showed $33.00 from SLS.
This seems really cheap and I wonder if anyone has bought anything large-ish
from them in the past who could shed some light on shipping charges.  To the
southeast U.S. by the way.

I have bought quiet a few panels from SLS. Their shipping is very fast. You don't pay taxes on their end. I usually order by phone in which case they can tall me the shipping charges. For example, a couple of fenders a rear mask an some other stuff was $160 in shipping (2 big boxes).

Why would you order parts from SLS in Germany when those parts are made by K&K in MI?

Why wouldn't you if the price is significantly less?

K and K.  Okay.  Same exact price between them and SLS so thanks for the
info.  About $420 compared to $800 plus at the other places I checked.

Chris.
For what its worth. In my experience, if available, the best panels even though at times quiet a bit more expensive are the OEM panels from Mercedes. To me, they look better, feel better and definitely fit better. I would always check there first.

I've been a K&K dealer since 1988, so yes, I know their stuff. They supply to a number of places. MB never made floor pans for the 113 and there are no part numbers in the dealer's parts book.

Benz Dr, not sure if your response is to my statement above or just in general. In any case, I never said MB makes floor panels. I did say that MB panels if AVAILABLE are better than aftermarket panels no matter who makes them and that includes K&K. This is not just my experience but also seems to be the common believe of the forum, reading the posts and comments over the past few years.

General statement. I would agree that originals are better, if you can get them.
