Adjustable AC pump bracket -- York to Sanden
« on: November 18, 2016, 23:25:35 »
Has anyone here used this adjustable bracket and is it redundant given that the AC system employs idler pulleys to take up tension.  I thought perhaps something can be gained for using the newer bracket with adjustability.

Interesting idea, but most likely will not clear the air filter panel.

Sam,

The adjustable mount is designed to be used when replacing a York style compressor on older domestic cars that did not incorporate an idler/adjuster bearing. It is usually best to fix the compressor to the engine and utilize the original adjuster.
