Total Solar Eclipse, USA, 2017-08-21

Well, this is about as off-topic as it gets. But some of you know my first hobby is astronomy and I know how this group likes to travel, so maybe this will interest you.
Many astronomers claim that a total solar eclipse is the most awesome thing that a human being can experience in nature -- tops volcanoes or surfing or climbing Mt Everest.
The eclipse on Monday, 2017-08-21, is the first across the USA in decades. The road & transportation system is better now! (And it's only a month before PUB in Virginia.)
Anyway, this interactive map can tell you how much of the partial eclipse you will see if you stay home or how far you have to travel to see the total thing.

I can talk for hours about this, but I will try to help anyone who is interested.
