Kick down solenoid loose wire

Hi Guys,
I am busy changing engine and front suspension mountings and noticed that there are two oil pressure switched either side of the auto tranny. They wire from the RH switch is not connected and hanging loose.
Question 1. Am I correct in thinking the wires of both L and R oil pressure switches should be connected to the 2 way solenoid, riding piggy back, on top of the tranny?
Question 2. Is it possible to reconnect the loose wire to the solenoid switch, without removing the tranny?

The pressure switches activate the constant speed solenoid on the intake manifold (keeps engine idle rpms constant when shifting automatic into gear). One pressure switch activates when the automatic transmission is placed in any drive gear, the other pressure switch activates when the automatic transmission is placed in reverse. We have a wiring schematic of the circuit somewhere on this site ( the linkage tour).

Should be possible but not sure what you refer to as the "piggy-back-solenoid"?

Hi Joe,
I am refering to the 2 way solenoid switch sitting on top of the tranny. I am not sure if I would be able to connect the loose wire without dropping the tranny. Is there perhaps an inspection hole in the tunnel whereby one could reach the solenoid switch.
