Hello Friends
« on: February 05, 2017, 21:55:31 »
Hello Guys!

Its been a few years and i do miss all!

After i sold my 280sl, i purchased a totally restored austin healy 3000. A year plus later, sold it.  Then purchased a jaguar xke.  Sold it 2 years later.   Then purchased a jaguar xk120 drop head coupe.

In all, no car has come close to the quality of our beloved pagodas!

How have you all been?  Do you all still meet each yr at Joes?  these were great times in my life!

Bob

Hi Bob,

We are fine around here, always something good going on :) in 2015 was our last time we meet at Joe's and it is now going to be in Virginia this coming September. You can read all about it in the Event section of our site. It promises to be a great event too this year. It's not too far from you around 5 hour drive. There are tickets for Sunday available, however, looks like they are moving fast.

Here ----> https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?board=7.0

If you scroll down a bit you properly find photos from the last event. Are you planning to get another Pagoda?

Welcome back ... now get ourself a nice Pagoda, you know you want too :)

Best

Dieter

Hi Bob,

Your car is now in Australia and I saw it at the 50th a couple of years ago looking good still.  I bet that is a regret.  I also tried an XKE from out of the USA but did not like driving it particularly and sold it.  The Pagoda is so nice that it is hard to find something comparable.

This years PUB is in Virginia, a first time away from Joe’s.

Nice mix of cars you have had though..
Hope life has been good to you

regards
Garry

Hi Bob,
I don't know if we met face to face, but I certainly know you through your fine posts.
Thank you for all of your contributions to sl113.org (and earlier?).
Are you here because you are thinking of getting another Pagoda?
Enjoy the ride !!

Hello Joe, Alfred, All!

What a great group of friends!  Joe, projects have been from the 280SL, '65 Austin Healey 3000, to Jaguar XKE, to Jaguar XK120 DHC (Current).

Patti only allows me one project at a time....  If I had more garage space, would have many more cars!

You guys really taught me alot besides great friendship....  We can indeed bring back these old cars and that we are only caretakers while we are on this earth.

Guys, really lots of really good memories !

Bob

Hello Bob,

Good to see you here back. :)
Was often thinking how you have been doing after you sold off your wonderful 280. ;)

Even if you do not intend to once buy a Pagoda again...,

just visit us here (or in person - PUB Virginia 2017 ??) from time to time.

All best,

Achim
