I don't read a lot of magazines these days, but I will miss this one.  The issue I just got said it was the last to be published and that the remainder of subscriptions would be carried over to Hemmings Classic Car which is nice, but only American cars.  I am sad to see this go.  Besides the STAR and Classic Mercedes Magazine out of England (both which I already get) can anyone recommend another publication to take the place Sports and Exotic car in my throne room library?  ;)

Mercedes Enthusiast (sister publication to Classic Mercedes) is pretty good. The focus, as you would suspect, is the newer cars, but they do have some good items about older vehicles. It is a monthly publication.

Mercedes Classic is also good, but only three times a year.

Yes, very unfortunate Bob.  They are the only publication I know that covered the full gambit of non US cars.  As I don't have a Chevy or Ford truck or Studebaker (a truck would be nice) I called them to cancel my subscription.   I use to get Hemmings Classic Car but it wasn't the same.  It will be missed.

As an alternative to my favourite magazine you cold try Sports Car Market - its really focused on the value of cars rather than fixing and playing with them but there is good information on various cars from an investor's point of view.

HSEC will be thoroughly missed in my household and I don't know what to replace it with.   "Octane" is kind of fun but more focused on the higher end cars / racing.

I am very saddened to see Hemmings S&E phased out.

I am very happy to have become friends with some of the editors that made the magazine great. Great guys like Dave LaChance, Mark McCourt and Richard Lentinello. This decision was beyond their control. The decision made outside of Bennington VT by the corporate owner.

I know money talks on the books but I feel it was a poor decision by corporate.
