Quiz & question - breather hose at throttle body 230SL

The quiz: Does anybody know what this is and where it is fitted?
The question: Where can a new one be sourced?

Is this the hose in question? It does not appear exactly the same, but close. The dimensions on this one about 12 cm long and about 4 cm at the angle.

I shall defer. When I went to my car (1970 - 280 SL) it has a different type of intake and the hose shown by Tyler is no longer used. So I scanned through the engine bay, and the breather was the only thing that was close.

It is #36 on that page and I actually ordered that from SLS once but I received a shorter one that didn't fit.
