Early 230SL owners with wheel well.
« on: June 21, 2017, 05:39:10 »
Hi All,
What's the widest tyre size to fit the wheelwell in the trunk of the early 230's. I'm looking at 195's.
 Thanks,
 Mike.

I've run 205's on my 280SL's over the years. Never a problem. I would not go any wider. I agree though with paults1, 195's are a good fit.

The spare (emergency) doesn't have to be the same size as the tires on the car, although the circumference should be the same.
