Cold Start Valve seals/gaskets?
« on: September 09, 2017, 04:40:18 »
Are the gaskets/seals for the 230sl cold start valve still available? If not does anybody have any ideas to fit suitable replacements?

I got mine for my 280SL from Authentic Classics, check with George if it's the same for your 230SL:

Failing which, when I've not been able to find gaskets I've used Hylomar (from my helicopter flying days) - it's used in the aeronautical industry for sealing aircraft turbines/engines, gearboxes & compressors= non hardening, non- setting, fuel resistant high temp etc.

Not sure which ones you mean. If the main one for 230SL, I think A0029975245, it is available in Mercedes and in Niemoeller. The oring - you may want to fit some generic one if no advise comes from the group or search the forum.
