You realize that this $30K toolkit if from a Ferrari 250, right?

Though this news is older:

Two years ago, a Ferrari 250 GTO sold privately for US$32 million becoming the most expensive car ever. Then a 1962 GTO sold for US$35 million, then last year a 1963 GTO sold for US$52 million, so there was little doubt that when the GTO crossed the Bonhams auction block on August 14, the world auction record would be comprehensively gazzumped. It was!

I thought our parts were expensive:

At this price I would be very scary.
Could be easily a reproduction or other falsification perhaps.
In order to "earning 30 K" some creative counterfighter will certainly go "a mile" or so.

A friend told me his brother was doing up a 1922 MB open wheeler, now thats expensive.  Had to make a new blower for it. Took five years of savings!!!!!
Has only been working on it 30 years, nearly there.

I interviewed the guy who bought the $32 Million one a couple of years ago.  He was wainting in line at the Mayport ferry in the middle of the Ameilia road tour.  He said, "The car was meant to be driven."  He did.
